👀🤧About the Snail Structure...
Most snail shells have a visible spiral structure. A ring-like appearance is quite rare, or it may simply be how the spiral looks from a particular angle. While searching for reference images online, I came across many realistic-looking snail photos that were actually AI-generated and lacked the correct spiral pattern.
At first, I thought the ring pattern would be easier to draw than a spiral, so I used it in my artwork. Only later did I realize how many AI-generated images on the internet contain subtle anatomical mistakes.
This was a good reminder for me. If you're an artist or a student studying animals, always make sure your reference images come from reliable sources and are real photographs. AI images can look convincing, but they may include small inaccuracies that don't exist in nature. From now on, I'll be much more careful when choosing reference images online. 🤔
But from an artistic perspective, using a ring instead of a spiral somehow worked well for this romantic piece. While a spiral can symbolize complexity or confusion, the simple ring gives the artwork a calmer, more 💍 unified feeling. ♥️
