I Live in My Own World👨‍🎨

A quiet place surrounded by mountains, trees, and flowers. The emerald Lake runs through the middle as the sun rises, and two people start a peaceful day fishing by the water.

Whimsical mountain valley landscape with turquoise river, wildflowers, tiny cottages, birds, and two people fishing.

“With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” — Mark 10:27

✍️ I don’t really know what mood I was in when I started drawing this. Somehow, I ended up mixing a little romance, aesthetics, nostalgia, and whimsy into one quiet place.

When I reached the mountains, it was honestly hard to keep going. I’ve been drawing characters for years as a hobby, but I’m still very much a beginner when it comes to scenery. Yet, by trying something outside what I’m used to, I started to understand how God can help us in mysterious ways.

You can have references. You can have skills. You can have all the tools you need. But turning a blank white canvas into an entire little world still feels like something more than just technique. Sometimes you simply have to keep going and see what comes out of it.

I did take references, especially for the composition and to understand how to build the scenery. I’m not going to pretend I created everything without looking at anything. But the true credit, goes to God for helping me bring all those details together and somehow end up with something beautiful.

Trust me, the beginning of this artwork was one of the messiest. There were moments when I honestly didn’t know where it was going. Yet somehow, step by step, it started becoming a world. Sometimes the messiest beginnings can still lead somewhere beautiful when God (Jesus) is with you.
