My Volcano Valley Cozy Village ๐ŸŒ‹

Step into a breathtaking fantasy world. A charming, cozy village rests peacefully along a vibrant turquoise river, guarded by the dramatic, majestic presence of a towering volcano.

I recently realized that I posted this artwork around the same time the devastating floods struck Nepal. I had no idea what was happening there when I drew or posted it.

In my artwork, the village is next to a sleeping volcano. But seeing the videos from Nepal now, I was struck by how similar the destruction looks—the rushing water, the debris, and the way entire villages were swept away.

It is deeply unsettling to see something I imagined as fiction reflected so closely in a real tragedy.

My heartfelt condolences to everyone who lost their lives, loved ones, homes, and livelihoods in the disaster. My thoughts are with the people of Nepal and everyone affected.

Even though I know I may be overthinking it, the resemblance feels almost too real.

So I’ve decided to dedicate this artwork to their memory. The village and the lives of the people who were affected will live on through my art. ๐Ÿ•Š️๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ต

Sometimes, when we see something like this, we ask God, “Why?”

I don’t have an answer. Anything I say here would feel inadequate and could be wrong. But as a Christian, I believe that God is standing right there with those who are suffering, grieving with them in their pain. And I believe that, in time, He will bring healing and restoration to the people, their homes, and their communities.

I’ve also attached the Nepal Red Cross donation link for anyone who would like to help. Even a small contribution can make a difference, and when many of us contribute what we can, those small contributions can add up to something meaningful.
If you’re able to help, please consider supporting the relief efforts.
